Demand for rental screens is rising: High-definition and irregular shapes are becoming new industry trends.

With the continued boom in the concert economy, the frequent hosting of global sporting events, and the increase in digital activities by government and enterprises, the LED rental screen market is entering a period of steady growth. According to data from Industry Research, the global LED rental display market size is projected to reach 10.347 billion yuan in 2025, representing a year-on-year increase of 5%. As the market structure continues to optimize, high-definition and irregularly shaped displays, with their adaptability to diverse scenarios, have become core trends driving industry innovation and reshaping the visual presentation methods in different fields.

High-definition upgrades have become the core competitiveness of rental screens, with technological breakthroughs driving the large-scale application of ultra-high-definition displays. Previously, LED screens were prone to pixelation when viewed at close range, and high power consumption and heat generation limited their application in indoor scenarios. Now, the iteration of small-pitch and micro-pitch technologies has completely changed this situation. Mainstream manufacturers have reduced the pixel pitch to below 0.9mm through flip-chip and micron-level COB technology, enabling mass production of ultra-high-definition products compatible with 8K displays. At the same time, the rise of black-light technology has further improved the image quality of high-definition displays. Through special processes, it enhances the black effect at the bottom of the LED beads, reducing light reflection and interference, presenting a more realistic visual effect in scenarios such as naked-eye 3D and XR virtual shooting. It is now gradually replacing white-light products as the mainstream technology in the rental market.

In terms of energy efficiency and visual experience, high-definition rental screens have also achieved breakthroughs. The new generation of high-definition screens utilizes AI low-power intelligent display technology to reduce power consumption to half that of traditional products, and the screen temperature is lower than human body temperature, perfectly solving the thermal interference problem in scenarios such as meetings and education. Furthermore, features such as a 7680Hz high refresh rate and RG0, the highest international eye protection level, not only eliminate scan lines during shooting but also reduce visual fatigue caused by prolonged viewing, making them suitable for scenarios requiring long-term operation such as concerts and live sports broadcasts.

Irregular shapes break the traditional form limitations of displays, becoming a key medium for creative expression in events. Leveraging modular splicing and flexible PCB technology, LED rental screens can be flexibly assembled into various shapes such as arcs and waves, and can even be customized into spherical shapes, brand logos, and other irregular structures, achieving distortion-free images and seamless color transitions. This flexibility precisely matches the current demand for differentiated visual presentations in events, creating immersive stage visuals for large-scale tours, constructing 360° panoramic interactive spaces for commercial complexes, and restoring dynamic natural imagery for cultural tourism projects, significantly enhancing the viewing experience and interactivity of the scene.

From a market perspective, the trends towards higher resolution and customizable screens are accelerating industry consolidation. On one hand, overseas markets such as the Middle East and Europe have strong demand for high-end rental screens, becoming core regions supporting industry development. On the other hand, leading companies are leveraging their technological advantages to continuously expand their market share, building technological moats in areas such as micro-pitch and custom-designed screens to solidify their high-end market position.

Looking ahead, global events will further stimulate demand for rental screens. Industry analysts believe that with the deep integration of technologies such as AI interaction and naked-eye 3D with high-definition and irregularly shaped displays, LED rental screens will achieve breakthroughs in more emerging scenarios, continuously providing richer creative possibilities for event planning and driving the entire industry towards a high-quality development stage.
